Packers limp into playoffs following loss to Vikings

There is no magic potion or secret elixir to cure what ails the Green Bay Packers’ offense. That fixer-upper will require an entire offseason.
The reality is the Packers have less than a week to formulate a game plan to get into the Washington Redskins’ end zone. The prospects aren’t good when Aaron Rodgers, one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks, can’t do anything to elevate what has become a discombobulated offensive disaster.

Packers’ McCarthy takes run-to-daylight approach in 28-7 rout

The time for sulking is over. The time for playing is now. The Packers took a big step toward re-inventing themselves in an impressive 28-7 victory over Dallas on Sunday at rain-swept Lambeau Field. The Packers’ victory, coupled with Minnesota’s 23-20 loss at Arizona on Thursday night, gives Green Bay (9-4) sole possession of first place in the NFC North.

Packers release frustration with 30-13 rout of Vikes

The Minnesota Vikings can’t claim they didn’t see this coming. Teddy Bridgewater saw it. Adrian Peterson saw it. The Packers’ defense was in the Vikings’ facemasks from start to finish in Green Bay’s fairly convincing 30-13 victory over Minnesota on Sunday in Minneapolis. Green Bay (7-3) came in on a three-game losing streak.
It exited with a renewed feeling of confidence stemming in part from regaining control of its own fate.

Packers regress in puzzling 18-16 loss to Lions

All is not lost. Seven games still remain on the Packers’ schedule, though it is difficult to imagine any future loss being more shocking, frustrating or disheartening than Green Bay’s latest one. The Packers’ 18-16 loss to the Detroit Lions Sunday at Lambeau Field both begs and defies that ageless question shouted by an infuriated Vince Lombardi: “What the hell is going on out there?”

Packers hit speed bump in Denver

It was essentially accepted that the Denver Broncos posed serious challenges to the Green Bay Packers in pass rush and pass coverage. Certainly the Packers didn’t plan on getting stymied by the 6-0 Broncos coming out of the bye week, but that’s what happened in Denver’s 29-10 victory Sunday night at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium.
